Play the game, have fun, and MERRY NEW YEAR!!! WWOWOWOOWWWW
We have an exciting announcement about Jest Messters' Kickstarter campaign coming very soon, so stay tuned to that! We're also working on Jest Messters' Steam release and a brand new trailer with an original song composed by Mijil and sung by Midori! I can't wait to share them with you soon, so keep updated by following our social media (https://linktr.ee/elseth), where you can watch our yearly recap (https://www.instagram.com/p/DS6y7FqgZBa/) as well.
Words of Appreciation
Okay, this is going to be lengthy, so you can skip this section... But 2025 was a wild roller coaster ride, and we wouldn't be here without all of you.
I'd like to thank all players who played our games, left a review, a donation, or a comment- it means a lot to indie developers like us! Thanks to you, Jest Messters has over 18k downloads and over 140 ratings since its release this June- that's probably the most ratings I've seen on my dashboard!
I'd also like to thank all our Re:Curse Kickstarter backers- it's my first time hosting a crowdfunding campaign and I was super nervous that it'll flop, but I was astounded by the enthusiasm and support from the community. I didn't think people would care much about the story I want to tell, but the campaign proved me wrong. Thanks to all of you, most of Re:Curse's development costs are funded and I don't have to dig a hole in my pocket money for now 😁
Of course, the biggest gratitude goes to my project teammates! I'd like to thank April and Konayachi for their hard work in making Jest Messters and Re:Curse visually stunning- without them, all my games would have stock images and badly drawn sprites. Thank you to Mijil for blessing both games with his godly original music- isn't it so cool that our games went from using royalty-free music to having our own soundtracks!? I can't help but feel teary-eyed whenever I think of it... We sure have gone a long way 🥹
Thank you too to Purinco and Rea who assisted a lot with social media content creation, especially during Re:Curse's Kickstarter campaign. Then there's Ray for his efforts on Re:Curse's minigames, Saint of Selumina writing, and a secret project that I'll hopefully announce next year.
A huge thanks to all fan artists, streamers, content creators, and reviewers who shared our games to the world. Indie game development feels like a lonely journey sometimes. So it feels magical to know that there are people out there who genuinely care about our games so much that they create fanart or content for it.
Special thanks to Arisu and Ryu Shojo, my long-time friends and SG Comic con boothmates, who painstakingly mentored me in social media marketing, believed in the vision I held for my games, and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I wouldn't have made it this far without their guidance!
And lastly, I'd like to especially thank Purple Herring Games for journeying throughout 2025 with me- from our Sunday writing sessions, to holding our first booth in Johor Bahru ACG Yumefest, and to co-founding our first indie game studio- it's great to have a partner to rely on. If you want to play a fun otome/BL, go check out My Alien Roommate (https://purple-herring-games.itch.io/my-alien-roommate), and stay tuned for exciting announcements from us next year!
Happy new year 2026, y'all! May 2026 bring you great joy and peace!
Cheers,
Elseth
